How 2011 was estimated 2011 PHUL rosters come from USA Ultimate's July 2011 membership report, but 7 teams (North Hills Boys, Seneca Valley Boys, Hampton Girls, Pine-Richland Girls, Mars Girls, Montour Girls, Schenley/Obama Girls) are not on it. Each one's size is estimated as the average of that school's 2010 and 2012 PHUL roster sizes (USAU division average if neither exists), minus players already counted via 2010+2012 inference: +87 for 2011. Estimated = for other players, the first name is checked against an offline name-frequency list and counted only when the name is overwhelmingly one gender; players whose names are ambiguous or unknown are then split in the same women/men proportion as that year's other players. On players with recorded gender, the name-based estimate is within about 1.5 points of the recorded % women in every season 2010–2026. Only yearly totals are kept; no individual's gender is stored or shown.
